A fun nature-based craft activity, for young children aged 4-10 years and their families.

This family workshop will explore the flowers and plants that grow on Romney Marsh, and particularly those loved by bees. You’ll make a nature crown and learn about bees and other insects on Romney Marsh. Did you know Romney Marsh is home to SIX of the UK’s rarest bumblebee species?!

You’ll also have the chance to explore the Romney Marsh Visitor Centre and see a Looker’s Hut, used by shepherds on Romney Marsh.

Participants can also take part in a short performance on 21st August at St Nicholas Church New Romney to show off their nature crowns!

The workshop is organised by The Fifth Continent Landscape Partnership Scheme in collaboration with JAM On The Marsh festival. With thanks to our funders National Lottery Heritage Fund and the D’Oyly Carte Charitable Trust.
