Exploring Romney Marsh through movements and dance.

Facilitated by expert practitioner Michaela Cisarikova from Folkestone Dance, this fun movement workshop will explore the animals, birds and insects that inhabit Romney Marsh, as well as the environments they inhabit.

Participants will use expressive movement and some basic choreography as a medium to explore the creatures of the marsh, as well as some fascinating source materials. This fun workshop is suitable for mixed abilities, and movement can be done seated for those unable to stand for long periods. Participants will also have the option to take part in a short performance on 21st August at St Nicholas Church New Romney if they wish to (optional).

Suitable for adults and children age 14+. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult (there is room for accompanying adults to watch if they do not wish to participate).

This workshop is organised by The Fifth Continent Landscape Partnership Scheme in collaboration with JAM On The Marsh festival. With thanks to our funders National Lottery Heritage fund and the D’Oyly Carte Charitable Trust.
