Stone Faces Writing Workshop with Emma Batten

Stone_Faces_writing workshop

Outside of my normal administrative role for the Fifth Continent, it was great to be asked to connect to one of the writing workshops run by local author Emma Batten.

Emma’s ‘Stone Faces’ Writing Workshop recently held at Brookland Village Hall; attracted a group of keen and budding authors who learnt techniques and skills required to compile and build interest in their creative writing. Emma took attendees through the steps to producing a historically accurate creative writing piece based on various images of stone faces found in many of the Romney Marsh churches, wrapped up in the history of the medieval marsh which was then used individually to create a unique story. Fascinating stuff!

Social distancing was the order of the day and the room was laid out to ensure everyone’s safety.
