Supported Wildlife & Heritage Event

This year we were able to support the annual summer fair at All Saints Church in Lydd on Saturday 18 August. It might have been a windy day but it didn’t stop people coming along to take part in the range of free wildlife and heritage themed activities and it was great for the team to meet the local community.

We were joined by the Bug Roadshow as well as some of the Scheme’s partners – The Romney Marsh Countryside Partnership  EDF,  Affinity Water and the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. There were also local crafters and small businesses. The church was buzzing with activity and more than 50 people who were able to get a microscopic view of insects and  then go outside and find the mini-beasts in the long grass outside. There were about 200 people who attended the event so it gave us a great opportunity to talk to local people about the Scheme.
