Sentinels on the Marsh – other activities
This project will bring the opportunity to be involved with enhancing the churchyard grounds through wildlife gardening by creating ‘mini-meadows’, providing nesting and roosting sites. To help churches open their doors to increase participation from local communities to use the spaces for activities, meeting places, events etc. Also an audio guide will be produced, new cycle trails and drone footage of the churches.
Sentinels on the Marsh – other activities contributes to Rediscover project theme.
Volunteers can get involved in becoming ‘greeters’ to inform tourists about the church as a building and it’s history and place in the local community. Young people will be commissioned to create ‘art works’ based on living on or the history of the Marsh, and have the opportunity of using the churches as gallery space to exhibit.
