The Marsh on Screen film project

fifth-continent-on-film

Capturing the magic of the Marsh on Film, this project offered the opportunity for people to develop film making skills by getting involved in producing a range of new mini documentaries and creative films. The Landscape, heritage and culture of Romney Marsh will be the focus, enabling communities and individuals to rediscover the beauty and history of the area they live in.

Over 40 short films were created about the Romney Marsh. These included films recording the progress of the individual projects, some provided information on the landscape and others created artistic interpretations of life on the Marsh. An annual Film Festival also showcased entries, and a special ‘Day in the Life’ project meant that footage is available on many residents and their work, on the Marsh
